Bob is a Lecturer in Computer Systems with the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University. In 1996 he received the BSc in Software Engineering from the school before joining the Distributed Multimedia Systems research group to study for a PhD in Computer Network Security, which he was awarded in 2000.

Bob joined the academic staff in 1999 and has taught a range of subjects including Computer Security, Computer Networks, Wireless Networks, Multimedia Networking and C Programming.

His research interests include Computer and Network Security, User Privacy in Networked Systems, Personal Networking including Ad Hoc Networks, Networked Appliances and Pervasive Computing. Bob is a Member of the IEEE Communications Society
