Each presentation should
be 15 minutes long with 5 minutes for questions and answers. There will be
laptops & AV equipment available so you can bring your presentation on
disc.
conference venue
The PgNet 2005 Conference will be held at the Peter Jost Ent erprise
Centre, Byrom Street Liverpool. This building is located at the back
of the James Parsons Building, JMU, Byrom Street, Liverpool
Directions can be found on this website
Important
There
are major building works being carried out on the Byrom Street
campus, if you are arriving by train and will need to walk to the campus
please DO NOT enter the main building. When you come through the
gates from the walkway you will see signs directing you to walk around the
outside of the building, through the car park to the Peter Jost
building. If you are coming by car, then you will be able to
drive around the the Peter Jost car park. We apologise for any
inconvenience and will have staff in place to help with directions.
conference dinner
This year's Conference Dinner has been arranged
with Mersey Ferries. The evening will begin with a one
hour cruise on a privately chartered
Mersey Ferry. You will enjoy
stunning views from the decks of the ferry whilst listening to
commentary on the landscape and famous landmarks on both sides of the river.
You will then disembark on the Wirral, where you will enjoy the Conference
Dinner on the waterfront in the historic Woodside Restaurant. The
Restaurant is situated inside the Ferry Terminal which is a grade II
listed building and has a balcony overlooking the River, it has
unrivalled views of Liverpool's famous skyline. After the
dinner, guests will then be transported back to Liverpool's Pier Head by
ferry.
