Venues

Liverpool, home of the Beatles, celebrated its 800th birthday in 2007. The city is also famous for its waterfront buildings such as the Liver Building and Port Authority Building which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In 2008 Liverpool is European Capital of Culture and a full range of events have been organised.

The workshops and tutorials were held on 1st and 2nd September at Byrom St, Liverpool John Moores University which is just 10 mins walk from the main Liverpool Lime Street Station, and 30 mins by bus from Liverpool John Lennon Airport ( the bus stops at Queen Square Bus Station).

The main conference (3-5th September) was held at Holiday Inn Liverpool City Centre just opposite Liverpool Lime Street Station. Directions can be found here.

Due to building work university parking will not be available. Hotels will have limited but expensive parking. Travel by public transport is strongly advised.
