Travelling By Car

The James Parsons Building is on the A59 ( Byrom Street) central Liverpool. Motorway access is via the M62, M58, M53 and M57

The M62 leads straight on to Edge Lane. At the motorways end follow signs for City Centre/ Tunnels/Albert Dock/Central Tourist Attractions.

Continuing along Edge Lane, you should pass

• The Gardeners Arms Public House (right)
• Carpet World (left)
• Edge Lane Retail Park and McDonalds
• Devonshire Hotel (right)
• Littlewoods Building (left)

At the end of Edge Lane the road forks at a set of traffic lights. Stay in the right lane at these lights.

Bear right onto Hall Lane , still following signs for City Centre/Tunnels/Albert Dock/Central Tourist Attractions. Go straight on at the traffic lights, onto Erskine Street and follow the road as it bends round to the left.

Continue down Erskine Street onto Islington, through two sets of traffic lights, NOTE at the second set you will need to be in either the middle or right hand lane.

Follow the road as it bends to the right to the next set of lights (signed Tunnels/North). Through these lights, onto Hunter Street, staying in the middle or right hand lane (signed Wallasey Tunnel, Preston, Southport, Bootle).

At the next set of lights the road bends round to the right onto Byrom Street. Continue along Byrom Street.Approx. 30 yards after lights, turn right into access lane. Cross other carriageway and turn sharp left at lights. Report to security staff.

From the A565, A59, M53, Wallasey tunnel, etc.

Take signs for City Centre. Approx. 1/2 mile after exit of Wallasey tunnel turn sharp left at traffic lights. Report to security staff.

From Birkenhead (A41)

Emerge from tunnel. Turn left at roundabout but do not double back on yourself. Continue through pedestrian and traffic lights. After junction, take right hand lane. Observe University building on right. Continue through next set of lights. Approx., 30 yards after lights, turn right into access lane. Cross other carriageway and turn sharp left at lights. Report to security staff.
