The School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at LJMU can provide cost effective training either on-site at your organisation or at our own purpose built Commercial Training Suite. This Training Suite is situated in central Liverpool on our Byrom Street site and can cater for courses for 3 to 20 people at a time. Small class sizes ensure maximum interaction with our experienced trainers.

The delivery of courses can be adapted to suit the needs of your organisation. Flexible options allow the delivery of courses either during the day or the evening and they can be delivered in a block, for example over a working week, or spread over a number of weeks either for example to suit flexible day release. Day time courses at our training centre include refreshments and a buffet lunch. Evening courses include refreshments.

Facilities Hire

Do you want to run your own training course for your staff but don't have the space and facilities? We can provide you with a fully equipped training suite and technician support for any length of time (from half a day to a full week or more) so that you can deliver your own personalised course on our premises. We can pre-install any Windows or Linux software ready for you and your staff.

We can also provide high-quality catering and refreshments to your staff during their time with us.

Continuing Professional Development Courses

We also offer a selection of courses for study in the evening leading to a University accredited qualification and these are registered under the LJMU UMF Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme.

You may select a number of modules to study which earn University Modular Framework (UMF) credits or Continuing Professional Development credits. These credits can then be offset against the number of credits required for one of the our degree routes or used as an entry qualification, should the holder decide to undertake a degree course at a later stage.

These CPD courses provide training in the software development process from programming through to management. These courses can be combined into the University approved award: Certificate in Professional Development (Computing) and the Advanced Certificate in Professional Development (Computing).
