Corporate SponsorshipThe School offers a number of promotional opportunities for Companies to publicise their activities both locally and internationally. School PrizesThe School has a number of corporate sponsored prizes that are awarded to students each year. Examples of these include:
Sponsorship provides good media attention for your Company. Publicity will also be available on a wider scale via the LJMU Corporate website as well as providing publicity about your Company to current and potential students on our School website. Prizes usually take the form of cash (or equivalent, e.g. book tokens or Corporate Amazon gift vouchers) and typically range from £25 to £100 in value. If your Company would like to sponsor a prize in an area of specific interest to you, please contact us for more details. Conference SponsorshipThe School regularly hosts national and international conferences on Computing and Mathematics related topics. Recent events include:
Past sponsors of these events have included ACM, IEEE, Philips Labs, The British Computer Society, HP, Texas Instruments, BT Exact, The Institution of Electrical Engineers and EPSRC. If you would like more information about future events or would like to sponsor a particular conference (including placement of your company logo in the conference proceedings and space to distribute literature at the event) please contact us. Laboratory SponsorshipThe School currently operates twelve laboratories on its Byrom Street campus. In addition to a number of general teaching laboratories, we operate a number of specialist laboratories covering areas such as:
We currently have a limited number of opportunities for companies involved in Computing or IT (preferably) to sponsor one of our labs. Sponsorship of a laboratory includes a name plate outside the laboratory for the full sponsorship period and the ability for the sponsoring Company to place corporate literature within the laboratory for students to see. More advanced options include the ability to include your Company logo on each student’s desktop within the lab and animated screensavers showing your logo and other information. In addition to this, sponsorship improves your Company’s visibility with over 200 high-calibre graduates each year and further publicises your brand to over 1300 undergraduate and postgraduate computing students in our School. If your Company would like to sponsor a laboratory (the minimum period is one year) please contact us for more details. Please note that a charge is applicable for laboratory sponsorship (depending on the size of laboratory and nature of sponsorship) to cover associated costs and to provide a contribution to the general upkeep of our facilities.
