History

History of the Conference

The First International DERIVE Conference was held during the summer of 1994 in Plymouth, England and was organized by Professor John Berry of the University of Plymouth.  The conference hosted over 200 participants and set the format for future conferences.

The Second International DERIVE Conference was held during the summer of 1996 at Schloss Berlinghoven in Bonn, Germany.  This conference was organized by Barbel Barzel.   This conference hosted more than 250 participants and featured several presentations using the TI-92 as well as DERIVE.

The Third International DERIVE and TI-92 Conference was held during the summer of 1998 at Gettysburg College, Pennsylvania, USA . This conference was organised by Professor Carl Leinbach.  This conference hosted 160 participants and was the first conference to fully incorporate the TI-92 into this series of conferences.
